Dear Blog,

I totally forgot my avatar was hosted on Photobucket so I need to sort that. Maybe time for a new one?

Dear John,

No, it doesn't look right. It's like when Facebook made changes to the timeline. But we'll get used to it I suppose... ;)

Dear Blog,

I'm thinking of changing it back as I'm not recognising my own posts and getting confused who the new poster is.

Dear Blog,

I came across a video of Kevin Conroy, the voice of the animated Batman recording the last few lines in Dark Knight and now someone has cleverly edited it into the original film:

Nandos is going well. team trip to Berlin was fun, the free food at lunch is still awesome. And actually, the IT function is much more organised than I assumed!

Dear Blog,

I'd guessed as much seeing the string of VR titles popping up that you were playing! Very fun device although I've not played mine for a while, I was having trouble getting headaches so I started mucking about the IPD setting and think it was better before.

Dear Blog,

Yeah the ipd setting and setting how close the unit is to your face helped me. Using the narrow face foam too.

Well another new job, lost my previous one in December last year went back to my old work and quickly figured out that it's still not a great place to work... lol so got another new job :P

Yeh house was on the cards after being given a nice pay out from being made redundant so we've taken the plunge :)

Dear Blog,

Well this month I have been spent training for the BHF bike ride which I completed on Saturday 23rd but even larger is that the Saturday before I got married. Also been to Paris for a few days before legging it back to London for the Foo Fighters which was great too. Now planning a weeks holiday somewhere hot to take a rest.

Dear Blog

Congrats on the house, jobs and tech!

We are having more issues with the missus car, burnt out valve in cylinder 2 main dealer wanted an extortionate amount of money to investigate for further damage. Local Mini specialist garage has quoted a full repair and engine refurb, fixing some other known issues, for less so booked in for next month, still I could of had an OLED TV for the cost of the repair. But she still loves the car, and what kind of car are you getting for that kind of money? Nothing as nice or fast.

My bosses have decided to go on holiday the week after we had a job start on site and just as a major development seriously started to ramp up, so I've been left as the main contact for both. I've only done an hour of my actual job this week as I've been fighting fires and answering queries the rest of the time. All this with out a pay rise yet this year, shouldn't complain at least I have a job that seems pretty secure at the minute

Dear Blog,

Well done on completing the ride again Chris, how did you find it compared to last time? Do you carry powerlinks/chainlinks with you? They're overpriced particularly for the 11-speed ones but they are extremely handy for getting the chain quickly fixed on the go.

I haven't done an MTB event or any big rides for a while and was toying with going to a race this weekend (just a standard one, not endurance) as it caught me eye as they had a specific fat bike version. However it's 120mph away and the organisers seem to be ignoring questions about when registration closes which I suspect is because they want people to come early but not getting up super early for that then hang about for hours. Also need to get on with a front mudguard solution for the fat bike as the current one fell off and riding without one is quite a challenge.

I received a letter from Mazda telling me my car has two urgent recalls which is irritating as I didn't want to take the car anywhere near my local garage again but guess I'll have to.

Dear Blog,

It was definitely harder this year John. Mainly because I had a cold which made breathing more difficult and also because the ground was a lot muddier and harder going this time. Saying that I still improved upon last year by 30 minutes. This was despite breaking my chain after 28 miles and having to scoot along on my bike for 2 miles. Luckily I knew there was a mechanic station at 31.5 miles and the last mile was downhill, a demon downhill at that.

Annoyingly I did not have any powerlinks left as I had used the last one up on someone else's bike a couple of weeks ago and forgotten to replace it. I picked up a spare whilst I was at the mechanic.

Although I enjoyed it I am not sure I will do it next year. I might look for another bigger challenge such as the 100 mile South Downs ride or possible a multiday event.
