Dear Blog,
At least Brexit is now the second stupidest decision made by a nation in a generation...

Dear blog,
Honestly, what is wrong with people?! Small minded, racist, scared of progress.. its brexit all over again. Except this is MUCH much worse as it will hit the global markets like nothing else.

Dear Crystal Ball,
The real cost of Brexit and voting in Trump will only be known several years down the line.
From a purely objective point of view I can understand why people have voted for these outcomes when their choice is 1. more of the same or 2. something different. If you have been fed a diet of shiv for years/decades and the opportunity for change presents itself then many would choose the option for change. Even if this is initially painful. Simplistic I know but I believe it is this that is occurring.

Dear Blog,
Lol Ras, do it! But if Arnie couldn't, I doubt you will be able to ...
What was it that I read today? Clinton got many more votes than trump (200,000 or something?) but even still, of those eligible to vote, roughly a quarter each went to Trump and Clinton and about a half didn't vote. Sounds familiar.

Dear Blog,
Yes, Hilary Clinton won the 'popular vote' but due to the way they allocate the votes Trump still won, only the fifth time it's happened. The total voter turnout was down a few percent to around 50% (final figures to come in) but the total number of votes for Trump was low at around 50 million, Obama was 66 million in 2012 and 2008 just shy of 70 million.
My Mum's new e-bike finally arrived today although in a very small box and in a lot of different parts, when my mail order bike arrived it was assembled bar the pedals. I was surprised there were no instructions as there were some fiddly elements with the lights and mudguards but got most of it together, just need to do some work on the front hydraulic caliper. A little annoying but worth it for the large discount and one bonus is I thought it was exactly the same model as had been hired but this one is better, it has a proper information display on it whereas the hire one just had a mode selection and that was it. My Mum is so pleased with it pointing out that she hasn't had a new bike since she was a teenager.

Off to Manchester on what feels like the hottest train ever, to do a breakout room thing with the lads. It's seriously hot on here.
So let's see if I can remain gluten free for the day!

Dear blog,
I've made it to Joberg and checked in to my apartment, picked up hire car etc. Off to mooch around the local mall and grab the first beer of the trip.
Not sure business class is all that at it's cracked up to be, at least on Zaffer airways. I still couldn't sleep very well although the bubbles / wine was a nice treat.
feeling jetlagged now even though it's only two hours difference, I was up at 6am watching the new walter white goes undercover with the mafia film. Quite enjoyed it although kept expecting him to break out the meth and up the ante. Also managed to watch Leo 1 - bear 0 film but think I lost a whole lot of it watching it on a crap quality airline screen. Just felt like I'd watch him crawl for an hour until his ankles mysteriously unbroke themselves.
Head is mush, beer it is!

Dear blog,
I hadn't heard of these things but saw you've done one and a mate did one on the same day in London! Sounds like fun. What did you have to do?
Woo! Apparently there's a way to not get jetlag that the F1 crews use. It involves not eating and definitely no alcohol... But that's no fun when you're in business class!

Dear blog,
Breakout room was fun! it was a 3 room one! Lots of laughs too! Mainly maths, lifting, codes, that sort of thing. But we got out with time to spare and worked well as a group!

Dear Blog,
This is Jijig (pronounced Jin Jing). She'll be joining our family on the 23rd December when she's 8 weeks and 2 days old!
We nipped over to the isle of wight to pick her this weekend. Her 2 sisters are going to Cambridge and south korea! She's pure white this time, whereas Mui Mui had champagne coloured ears. Youngest of the litter so she may be a bit smaller. But thats ok.
So we're continuing the puppy proofing in readiness!
