Jim, dont go everyday!!! You need to give you body time to rest. i try to run 2 days on, 1 day off. or you can do running one day, and weights the next. but try to give your body time to recover! Weights loss is a long gradual process sadly! But well done on using the fitnesspal! Its helping me no end, as you'll see from the updates!

Good luck with it all!

Thing is, im only doing 30 minutes, and just sat at desk all day, and not really doing weights or properly knackering myself out. So by the time it comes to my next gym time I'm feeling no effects of the last session and its been 24 hours. I used to have a break, but just thing if I can do it, then I should.

Up until December I used to ride to work, and that was a solid 5 miles 5days a week I was doing, and thats when I was getting really quite fit and losing weight.

Maybe this should be in the random internet thread but thought it might go better in here.

Weigh in every sunday Morning - he with the most weight lost gets a gold star.

Porridge for brekkie, soup and roll for lunch and a massive portion for evening as I'm starving by then. What can I eat around 3pm to keep me going that isn't cake :( or crisps :( or cement.

lost 4 pounds on the weigh in last sunday so had two bowls of pud. now put one back on. CURSES! Absolutely no change in my belly.

Finally got my 2010 fitness regime started this evening!! My mate called to ask if I was going to the gym. Didn't really have the motivation but went and, as always, glad I did.

No aerobic, just a bike warm up and then weights. Nothing major, some power cleans, chest and back exercises and injury prevention for the shoulders. Feeling good but might be a little stiff in the morning! Not bad for my first gym session in nearly a year I think.

Will go next on Monday with the idea of doing 45 mins aerobic and then some leg weights.

Couldn't quite do the 45mins aerobic. Did 15 mins run, 15 on the bike and only managed 10 on the rower. Should've carried on for the extra 5 mins but my bum was aching from the seat and not too fit yet and still recovering from the weekend.

Bit annoying that the heart monitor pads rarely work on the bikes. Did get it to work once and it registered 176bpm.

Worked on my legs afterwards and stretched. 2 hours went quickly!

7.30am session today was difficult to get out of bed and motivate myself for but once in the gym went well. Kind of gets you going and feeling good about yourself.

Until now that is and all I want to do is snooze.
