Haha no, been at work today and feeling fine. It was definitely cooked. Maybe the lighting made it look pastey. Or you mistaking the pancetta for undercooked chicken breast?!

The mash was more purpley in real life too. Bit like bluebells which look purple but can come out blue when you take a picture of them.

Yesterday evenings beef spaghetti bolognese with the spaghetti cooked in pesto. Was good yesterday and still good today. Just maybe shouldn't have cooked all that half-kilo of beef!

Ah, I always cook that 500g of meat. Makes the next day's cooking so much easier!

Can't believe this thread wasn't used at all in 2011!! Thought at least Ras would've mentioned one of his meals ;)

To 2012:

Eaten too much mash along with 2 battered cods and veg in gravy. Nom nom!

And I will use my cook books this year. Honest.

I just went to a place called Hummus Bros and ate lots of hummus. Now I'm very full. Of hummus.

Fun fact! I was 20 before I first (knowingly) ate hummus.

I am 29 and have still never knowingly eaten Hummus, and the thought of which makes me queasy. Maybe I'm not middle class enough to understand the appeal.

Hummus is real nice, very easy to make, goes on anything.

If you like garlic, give it a whirl!

I'm 29 and pretty sure I've never had hummus before either. Not having an urge to give it a go either. I don't like pate either. (3 eithers. Boom!)

At work today I was left this:

Image

Had two rashers of (very well done) bacon underneath the tin foil. Not my favourite (prefer the softer stuff) but as I hadn't eaten anything all day and it was now gone 2pm I munched them down - no bread rolls were left. Also 2 muffins (which were nice and moist!) and left the other two for when I'm back at work tomorrow.

As an aside, it's funny how the green highlighter has come out yellow on the auto settings on my phone and that I can even embed the photo as it's on my work fb wall which is private. Seems if you have a link to a photo on fb then you can share it anywhere outside of fb you like, regardless of the privacy settings!
