Yeah, no particular issues with it. Seems pretty much like the old one tbh. Interviews are better with Chris Evans leading them and making it more formulaic thus avoiding the promotional drone.

The 1.2 16v. That thing can shift!

Not sure why that made me smile so much.

I enjoyed the new Top Gear. The first episode was definitely the weakest but it got better as it went along. Maybe Chris Evans has left too early or now the team can get refine what was starting to gel. I never saw an issue with CE's shouting as that's what I expect from him - having watched TFI Friday it worked there but most seemed to take offence in the car show setting.

Also liked the slightly geekier Extra Gear.

Am interested to see how the Grand Tour will pan out now though. It does feel all so warm and familiar. :)

Not sure when it's actually back but I'm looking forward to it.

Silly little promo:

Wonder if they have taken many lessons from what did and didn't work in GT.

I'm guessing it was filmed a while ago so would be down to the editing and studio content.

The naked ramblers/big orange truck thing was filmed over here last October, so just before the first Grand Tour was released. The fact they have got rid of Evans and have made Harris and Reid main presenters would suggest they have learned something from the last series.

It makes reasonable ironing TV so will probably watch some of it at least.

looking forward to this, it's looking more like the old "jezza" format but I don;'t think that's necessarily a bad thing as it looks like the three of them are starting to gel.

I really enjoyed the first episode of the new series 2. Had some great laugh out loud moments and I didn't think the chemistry was bad between the three - showing a bit of the supposed awkwardness was fine with me.

Extra Gear was awkward presenting wise but still good fun.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.
