Pffft, I totally didn't do that and only just managed to listen to it once Matt posted the youtube link... :?
I like. It reminds me of a bar that only has Castlemaine on tap, takes an age to get served and accepts cards.

How To Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo OST

Madness - OuiOuiSiSiJaJaDaDa

Mumford & Sons - Babel

Bellowhead - Broadside

Caro Emerald - Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor

On the live front, I'm off to see Adam Ant & The Good, the Mad and the Lovely in town next weekend.

My ticket hand is itching to book up for later in the year ...
Grimethorpe Colliery Band in June (who didn't well up watching Brassed Off?)
Ray McVay's Glenn Miller Orchestra in September (thanks to my grandparents weaning me on big band)

I'm listening to ... my ears ringing after that Adam Ant gig.

Packed full house, 58 year old Mr Goddard put in a blistering two hour set and returned for two encores.

There's not many music events where you see three generations and teens are outsung by their grandparents!

Fan-Fecking-Tastic.

there are moments that I love it, there are moments that I hate it.

feels a bit like a the casuast child of a 80's porno sound track and dark side of the moon.

Yeah, some tracks are booming and then others a bit slow. 1 and 3 I like at the mo and not made it to the end yet. Loadsa disco funk going on and jazz which is a surprise but I quite like that. And live drums/instruments too.

Like Giorgio says (and a review of the album): sounds of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and daft punk adding the 80s, 90s, 00s and the future.

They really need to take into account these other paid services which do streaming and other methods of obtaining music (legally) into the charts. I have no reason to actually buy a CD or even a digital copy of music anymore. In fact I can't even remember what music I own and what I 'lease' these days.

Ahem, sorry, yes, Daft Punk, I'm liking the jazzy feel to the album. Need to listen to it a lot more though.

Also liking that Blurred Lines song by Robin Thicke which is getting a lot of airplay atm (can't link it here since I connect via Germany and every youtube video I click on is copyright censored by the GEMA)

Wow, just seen that Spotify now have the number of plays of a track on their Popular/most played lists. Always wondered if it was popular of the moment (say weekly or monthly) or just total plays - seems it is time based as some songs with more plays are less popular. Wondering if it's the same for the popular bar next to a track.

Why do you connect via Germany?

This song? The 'make Prince/MJ sounds' song? (although you might not be able to play it.

Just realised I didn't finish the point I was making... "So my download of Daft Punk isn't counted on the charts."

What song now?! (The work intranet is a connection via Germany...)

But now you've rubbished it by saying it's the "make Prince/MJ sounds" song, so no, not that song, mine had a similar name, but it was all niche and cool. You'll probably never hear it. Very underground. No airplay at all.
