Yup! What's this about needing spoiler tags?

I don't know how long this source will be up for but a Dark Tower pre pre-production trailer has been leaked:

http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2016/10/t ... ed-online/

The focus looks quite different from the books as it's more in our world rather than the Gunslinger and mid-world but I like that King is onboard with it and it's not a straight adaption from the book. There's clearly a lot of elements that can be identified from the books in the trailer and the limited appearance of the Gunslinger does help give that legendary, mythical feel he should have.

I'm quite excited for the film, although I fear it won't be very good, as is often the case for King adaptations.

I loved the books, would enjoy a HBO style series to properly do it justice, but I'll take what I can get.

Some of the King adaptations have been poor but some have been very good - the likes of Shawshank Redemption, the Shining, Misery and Stand by Me are extremely well rated. I think there is a TV series in progress alongside the film but admittedly my expectations are pretty low for the film and I'm mostly hoping just to see some of the concepts and locations from the books visualised.

Yeah there's some excllent stuff to have been made into films/ or TV. And, to be honest, even the rubbish ones I do enjoy, even though I know they are rubbish.

I'm just a general fan of his, so anything is better than nothing (most of the time!).

Yeah, now you mention it I do remember talk of a TV series.
