Kingsman 2, was fine, not as good as the first, the kind of stupid fun Bond should be. The baddies end goal was right, maybe could have gone about it in a better way.

Black Panther, another absolutely fine Marvel film, pretty, exciting, funny moments. Killmonger is the true Black Panther, and utterly wasted, and Wakanda is the true villain of the film.

Avengers Infinity War, another absolutely fine Marvel film, pretty, exciting, funny moments, but over long. Kinda felt like not a lot happened while at the same time too much happened. I'm always disappointed at how poor the fight choreography and editing is in these films compared to a lot of Hong Kong/Eastern cinema, but that's more a general criticism than a failing of this one film. The casting of Peter Dinklage was inspired.

I watched "Active MEasures" the other day. Its a look at Russia's tactics in disrupting the west at the moment. It was very good and seems to be real news.

I watched "Winter on fire" too this week. Its a deep dive with local videos about the 92 day protest about the Ukraine fight to get rid of a president. sad, strong, well made.

Off to see Captain Marvel tomorrow!

I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but i really enjoyed captain marvel! Need to see it again to see if i was truly enthralled or whether i was caught in the moment!

Brie Larson was much better than the trailers suggested!

Went to see Yesterday with my wife last night. A typical Richard Curtis type affair. A happy go lucky film riddled with questions and great music. I have to say I loved it. Acting was very British but generally very good, although Ed Sheeran was a bit awkward.

Nice just to relax, let go and not have to concentrate on plot lines etc for 2 hours.
