Yeah, I think Colin has decimated this thread - going to need a hell of a lot of Lego to beat the level of commitment.

It's colins tattoo! He's the scottish architect who moved to Oz! And was always fun in the Fritzl room..
Guilty as charged. (especially the bit about the fritzl room)
I did have a Darth Vader mini fig Key ring but i got worn out and fell apart.

Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
For some reason late last night I bought the Viking lady on impulse buy from ebay. Had one minute left and put in a bid...
Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
That's a bit random?! I've been reading guides today for the series 7 figures, it's difficult because you have to remember not just the character you are looking for but also the other similar ones which is something I'm not good at. I had the Viking woman in hand but was sure I had the Merman due to the solid block legs, I thought I could feel a small helmet but I actually had the rock chick and what I thought was the Aztec guy's helmet was the monkey for the cave man.

I had my first proper success today as I found the programmer on my own, here he is mixed with the sleepy head to give a more accurate portrayal of me:

Unfortunately my success was a little dinted by what I thought was the aztec warrior and spear:

This was supposed to look like the lizard guy welcoming the bunny guy but the lizard guy looks rather fierce from the side and you can't see the bunny man's smile so it looks more like the lizard guy is scaring the crap out of the bunny guy...oops.

Yeah, one of those stupid, late night impulse buys when tired and not thinking straight. That late night 'that looks cool' syndrome - was an article or comic about it somewhere wasn't there?
Anyway, can imagine Tennis Ace going on a tour to Scandinavia or something. Also, a possible series 6 skater girl girlfriend for Tennis Ace has been bought (how romantic) and series 4 skater boy also. Wanted the surfer guy and the other skater boy but they were for loads so didn't bid.
We're so cool!

Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
I'm feeling rather pleased with myself as I managed to successfully choose two minifigures this evening, the bagpiper and Robbo:

I thought I had the swimmer but kept going round the packet and found the racket so that was an easy giveaway, I was sure I had the aztec guy again but kept trying and realised it was the bunny again as it seems easy to find just the one ear and not notice the second. With the bagpiper you're mean to go for his cap but I came across his bagpipes which I thought was armour of some sort but eventually realised it must be the bagpipes, they're a strange shape.

Haha John, that's amazing!!
Is that the tech guy's hair you've got on him? One of the reasons I want the skater boy is so I could do what you've done! Might have a new profile picture there!

Yeah, I thought the black programmer's hair looked more like you than the original pale spiky hair.

Back home to find two small packages in the letter box: the skater boy from series 4 and the skater girl from series 6! Pics coming soon...
Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
Haha, can't wait to see them. For anyone looking for the programmer I find he's one of the easiest to feel and he seems quite common as well - the easiest object to find is the laptop which is obviously a small rectangle, if you find that then look for the mug which is a similar size to the head but it has the handle. I found a third one last night which I was tempted by so I could give the additional laptop to the robot but decided that's going a bit far.

Tennis Ace checks the weather forecast for the next few days: rain. Grrr!

Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
The expression on his face goes perfectly with that, I like his downturned racket as well. Edit - And I see he is sitting on a tennis ball, nice touch.
Things got a bit heated this evening here when the clowns thought it would be funny to plaster the robot with custard pies and the robot did not:

Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
Viking Woman arrived today. Noticed that the figure I have, and you John, has a opened smiley mouth but on the packet and some ebay listings she has a frown and sealed lip. Not that I mind, but wondering if there are two versions of this figure with 2 different heads.
edit - just realised she has a double sided head... Whoops...
