Love Technics! (Says the 10 year boy who hasn't played with any since then).
Re: Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)
cheap! £9 is probably OK, depends how much the E400 AMG drinks fuel.
Tesco best bet? will have to be a Sunday lunch time purchase.

Stephen Hawking is also incredibly clever, but he's not a piece of Lego either!
Flawless logic there!
I should use this technique in all my arguments...
Nah, I spend too much just on Star Wars and Marvel sets, I can't afford to look at Technics!

I had to search for this thread, it was off the front page - what a disgrace!
I noticed while browsing Amazon the new Lego Technics flagship is up which is a giant mine excavator thingy you can see near the bottom here:
http://www.technicfactory.net/lego-technic-2016-sets/
It's technically an interesting model and one of the biggest Technics model but it seems more of an achievement in design rather than the usual mix of something clever and quite functional. I like the look of the tractor and helicopter though and that new Technic 911 looks really impressive.
I bought the current (or former?) Technic flagship which is the Mercedes truck and the LMP1 car, the truck was discounted and I think the car is approaching retirement. The box for the truck is huge but sadly like the other flagships I have, it has to go into storage until I have a house with space for them

I've missed the last two sets of mini-figures simply because I don't have room for them. I am tempted by the newest Civil War sets as I just like collecting Avengers, but again, a lack of space. I need a new house!

I havent gotten minifigs for years! As i'm not a working nomad, i never find a desk long enough to have them on display like i did in my old job for 6 years!

And then last night, I went and ordered the B-Wing I was missing using Tesco's (final) boost event.

Have you built this?
My favourite ever Star Wars character got his minifigure so even though I didn't care for the rest of the set, I bought it straight off at full rrp - witness Grand Admiral Thrawn in his Lego glory:

This is the set he came with, some Rebel jedi scum, his astromech droid and his ship...Thrawn gets nothing apart from a blaster and as I understand it, this set is meant to be Thrawn chasing the ship:

I did thankfully have something much more suitable for him:

Hang on though, maybe they should be paying more attention to the shuttle:

And that's how the Rebel acquired the Tydirium for Return of the Jedi:
