I bought a Wii 'overshot' shotgun and F1 2009 for my brother's birthday next week, Forgotten Sands on the 360 (20 quid with a free 800 points card) and an Xbox HD-DVD drive for a tenner. Rather scary as I spent £160 buying one from the same store a while back, I've been fancying another one to take apart and fit to my PC.

The Steam sale returns...it's a bad sign that the first three games I went to buy I didn't realise I'd already bought in the last sale. Today I picked up the Serious sam pack (so annoying that I technically have two copies of the first game though) and Puzzle Kingdom. The latter is a puzzle quest rip off which has actually been quite fun until the computer started having incredibly good luck making it virtually impossible to beat as coincidentally my luck has become very poor.

cant sleep, so got imovie for the iphone, I think i will use it for some quick and dirt montages.

Also got the red laser app thing as it is free at the mo. Awesome, I scanned the bad company barcode and in seconds gave me loads of sites with it on offer. Not sure if I'll remember to use it though!

Hope they are as interestingly oddly awesome as I remember . . . .

Yeah, the red barcode thing is great, but I only remember it exists when I'm in bed, bored and trying to scan the cats.

I've decided to upgrade my desktop's storage system - it's currently running a 2x500GB RAID 0 array which is the configuration it came with which is obviously a bad idea to run on its own particularly as I've been using it as a temporary back up while a machine is rebuilt (only for a matter of hours but still a high risk). I've been meaning to break it up for a while and finally ordered the replacement setup, I've gone for a Crucial C300 64GB SSD in place of one of the 500GB drives and two Samsung 2TB drives, one of which will replace the other 500GB drive to give the machine capacity. The second 2TB drive is going in an esata caddy also ordered to ensure I keep everything backed up.

I pre ordered my xbox 360 today and noted they have amended the trade in prices too!!

I also bought a coffee and sandwich at Costa and then had some thieving gypsy shiv fly in and steal half of it as I surfed on the N900.

What, they just took it off your plate? I would have got the damn thing back even if I wasn't going to eat it!

Bought a nail gun :) I really wanted a battery powered one, but they only had either wired or manual, so went for the manual and it actually works much better than I expected, it's a much lighter touch than I expected considering how much wham it has :)

A cctv Camera I've been beefing up home security. It's a low crime area here, and there's no real reason for it, but I'll feel happier if I go away for a while knowing it's all secure. Also had the front door reinforced as it was a bit flimsy.
