Software backup before clean windows install?

Hey

I am about to perform a clean install of windows 7 on my PC, (upgrading RC to full version).

Is there software out there that will allow me to backup my programs and settings and restore them exactly as they are in their present state.
Rather than having to take note of all my applciations and reinstall them?
