Interesting. Can you add a meal and then just weigh out portions if you see what I mean?

Everything I eat is made from scratch pretty much, dinner especially. Couldn't be bothered entering each thing each time. Quite often I will make a batch of a couple of things and eat them over the next week.

well, we cook daily. but it remembers the stuff you use. so if you make things regularly, you can tell it to remember your meal. as long as you make it the same way of course!

Its a bit odd to start out, but you get used to tracking everything you eat/drink. And you realise how much sodium is out there in the world!!! Shame on you food producers!!!

So that site has a database of thousands of products with the labeled nutrition contents already uploaded? Pretty nifty.

And yeah, way too much salt out there! Less in the food and more on the roads please! lol

Weigh in today!

Image

far too much for the first week. think i weighed myself after a meal first time. and this time i weighed myself wearing no clothes before i've eaten anything. i only expect to see 2-3lb drop next week. (and most of it this week is dropping water retention as i'm having a 1/4 of the salt i was before!!)

But still! BMI is now 30.1. i'm 2lb away from being overweight!! And i know bmi means F-all in the gran scheme of things, but its really perked me up!

so, fatcamp 2010 is back on at my house.
Weigh in every sunday Morning - he with the most weight lost gets a gold star.

Porridge for brekkie, soup and roll for lunch and a massive portion for evening as I'm starving by then. What can I eat around 3pm to keep me going that isn't cake :( or crisps :( or cement.

Why, a delicious Special K bar is what! Delicious and only a few calories so the adverts say!

If you like fruit then fruit would be good. I'm liking kiwis at the moment but they've got to be nice and juicy and not too hard.

Not sure if they're too good for dieting but things like jaffa cakes, jelly babies and marshmallows can be a good snack for sport. A fair amount of energy without too much 'badness' in there. Mainly the sugar content and not much fat. But if you're trying to keep your sugar intake down then maybe not.

My best snack is a couple of sticks of celery dipped in crunchy peanut butter! I used to eat this a lot as a kid and just rediscovering the joys!!

You might find it easier if you make your lunch bigger and your dinner smaller. Spacing your intake out through the day helps to keep your metabolism up meaning you should burn it off quicker, if you really want to go the whole hog switch to 6 half sized meals a day.

Finding going to the gym quite easy at the moment, just sticking to half an hour of actual exercise, not getting bored at all. Will have been 7 days in a row tomorrow, so pleased. Can see myself keeping up with it too.

Joined this fitness pal, and its quite good really, not sure how accurate my meals are when I put them in but trying to over estimate rather than under. And though I never really felt my diet was a problem, quite nice to see it confirmed.
