Dear Blog,

I'd say Chris is pretty much spot on particularly with Taxi and Amelie, I really need to watch Taxi again as I've not seen in it for a while.

dear blog,
matt wrote:I watched Mesrine, a 2 part film on a notorious French gangster from the 60's and 70's. Notorious in France perhaps, I hadn't heard of him before this.

Part 1 is definitely stronger of the two, part 2 feels a bit long winded like you just kind of waiting for the inevitable. Vincent Cassel absolutely nails the character though, with the massive weight gain reminds of me de niro in Raging bull.

In other news my job is still FML so stepping up my search.

dear Matt

I feel your pain my job is deeply in the FML category right now!

pretty much any film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet is well worth watching.

Dear Blog,

I'm not looking forward to going back to work either as this week we lose our very good and technical helpdesk person to a centralised helpdesk. Just enjoying the good weather for now though and will hopefully get Alfie out again this afternoon.

I'm just watching how it works which is covering chainsaws at the moment, they were briefly showing chainsaw competitions where they use considerably more powerful chainsaws powered by 62bhp motorbike engines?!

Dear Blog,

if you don't mind something a little older for your French film collection, take a look at La Regle Du Jeu. It is well worth a watch.

Dear Blog,

It was a whole nine degrees here yesterday, poor Alfie was panting away on his walk as he's very much a winter dog at the moment. I'm planning on heading up the Cairngorms today although unlike Fort William I don't think dogs are allowed to go up to the top.

Dear Blog,

Rasman - I think old is still the best for duvets. Goose feathers if you can afford it/are not allergic to them that is.

Dear Fodder,

Well done, I never doubted you :)

I went up the Cairngorms today and it was just incredible as there was so much snow but it was so clear with bright blue skies. The sun was so incredibly bright that even at ISO 100 and F8+ I was still getting shutter speeds in the thousands. Back to the grindstone tomorrow although I can't really complain as it's been a great week.
