It's obviously not a new thing for graphics cards prices to climb because of demand for crypto currency mining but it seems to have gone a step further with the release of specific graphics cards and motherboards for mining. I was amused at this motherboard which features 12 (yep, twelve not a typo) PCI-E slots to run 12 graphics cards on it:

I'm not quite sure the point of these though as they just look like normal graphics cards without the outputs.
