The iphone is just frustrating. Although the hardware and camera are decent (it's a 5s) it lags, i have to come out of apps to find the settings for that app, and i dont have quick settings like the android.

Apparently there's a known issue with the s6. Its a great bit of kit, camera is great, its fast (usually) and build quality is superb. Its just that the battery often fails to last a day. Which is fine with a wireless charger at work and chargers next to the sofa. But no idea how it will fare when we go to hong kong and i'm out all day. It also sometimes get inexplicably hot! So rebooting helps!

Wireless charging is a big plus for me. I have 3 Nokia wireless chargers as well as a portable wireless charger.

The sensible part of me says wait 3 months. The techgeek part says DO IT! Lol
I try to remain loyal to Cortana and co but there are just too many comprises in staying with MS.

If anyone goes for vodafone, via an official vodafone channel, i can do a 20% discount for a few people on the line rental cost.

Rumours about Microsoft dropping phones and tablets all together. Also rumours about Microsoft buying AMD to use in their phones and tablets.

I'm in a similar position to you, but I think I'm less reliant on apps. Mind you, I haven't used Windows 10 Mobile yet, and that UI may be rubbish. No idea what I would go to though if there weren't Windows phones. I'm 30 years too young to get an iPhone.

There seems to be some credible rumours for new high end Windows phones as there's two shown up in benchmarks:

I had a raging battle in my shopping trolley last night for 3 hours! :tank:
One basket with an S6 Edge valiantly fighting it out against an iPhone 6 in the other basket. Many justifications were slung at each other and (after a little play with W10 on L930) they slung a few more pro's and cons at each other. :slap: :slap:

Drove my girlfriend absolutely nuts but eventually ordered.......

To Be Continued!

In the end i got myself an S6 Edge.

Looks pretty swish although feels like it is back to front as flat at the back and curved at the front.

Android/Samsung have changed a lot in the last year or so I have been away.

Cool. be interesting to see what battery life you get. Dad has a S6 and i have a S6 edge. His battery lasts longer. not sure if apps installed, or issue with my phone.

I do like the look of the Edge. Will be good to hear how you find it.

Speaking of Android battery life, my SHIELD has gone to having a terrible one. It will drain in a day on standby after a charge. And it's not connected celluarly. Didn't used to be like this, so not sure what is casuing the sudden drain.

I kept getting a notification from Device Security advising a threat has been found - "Unauthorised actions have been detected. Restart your device to undo any unauthorised changes."

Just updated to 5.1.1 and all is fine now.
