I heard there'll be strippers.

Windows... Strippers... Hmmm, quick search of that brings up VirtuaGirl. Anyone remember that!?

Oh god the terrible memories! In the dark times before the internet was fast enough for video! Are they still going?

It seems so! Full HD and even 3K now! Looks like they have full desktop dances too!

Excellent! I'll have to have a look at that later, no chance I'm clinking the link at work :D

It would however make my days a little more interesting!

I haven't really used Windows 8.1 as I only have it on my tablet, I haven't upgraded my other Win8 machines as they work fine. My Mum's new Yoga 2 has Windows 8.1 and I was going to install classic shell and have it behave like Windows 7 however as it's a hybrid laptop I thought I'd let her try the standard install first. I went to change the file associations so that it would open pictures and video in the desktop rather than touch mode but impressed to find it was already set that way, I think it was one of the biggest mistakes they made with Windows 8. I was curious how she was shutting down the laptop as she hadn't asked and didn't think she would have found the swipe out charm bar however I hadn't realised they'd added a shutdown button to the start screen which makes sense.

Woohoo! Tappy's Surface RT will get an update in Sept. I'm presuming it still works. Like my Zune which I plugged in today and am now listening to my hearted tunes from whenever I last updated the thing! http://www.windowscentral.com/new-windo ... ain-scarce

Yeah, it's still going strong. Often use it when the Shield decides that holding a charge on its battery is beneath it. Looking forward to seeing what the update will bring. Probably some of the Edge, apps and UI improvements, but none of the continuum or streaming stuff at a wild guess.

So, the Surface RT update. Was it really just adding a start menu and circular log in profile pics, Taps?
