I think Tappy is still on Windows phone as he's got a 950XL listed in his signature which is still fairly recent.

Yep, he has. I have looked at a second hand 950 but not seen any cheap, local prices.
I love my 925's form factor. I think it's a great looking and feeling phone. Just a shame some of the few mainstream apps are clunky (whatsapp is bang up to date though, Wikipedia good) and web browsing can be slow to load.

Indeed! Even I am using Windows 10 now. Really not sure what to do after this if the fabled Surface Phone doesn't happen soon.
EDIT: Didn't see John's post. No, I'm Windows 10, moved on from Windows Phone with the 950.

I meant windows phone as in a device powered by MS Windows rather than Android or IOS.
I'm still on my Note 4 and been keeping an eye on new phones but there's nothing really that's an upgrade from it and with LG, the last hold out for replaceable batteries now going with fixed batteries it looks like I'd actually be downgrading with a new phone which feels a bit odd given I've had the Note 4 over two years now.

Anyone would think that MS used confusing nomenclature for their mobile operating systems on their phones with Windows that you put in your pocket like a PC...

Well there's hope for an updated spec Windows phone this year, but Surface? Maybe 2019... https://winbuzzer.com/2017/03/09/micros ... 19-xcxwbn/

HP elite X3?

Expensive but there is a trade-in offer on. £125 for a 950 or a whopping £500 for an iphone 7 or S7.

No dedicated camera button on the HP either - which is so damn useful!

Messenger is unsupported on wp8.1 now. How long is w10m going to be supported for? In general that is. The slow, inevitable demise/death in 2017?
Windows Mobile/Phone discussion
In theory whilst W10 is supported, W10M is supported, cos same, innit. So that just means they'll end support for all Windows! Although I do use the app on the PC loads.
