Reply from my fiendish friend states they've had no problems with it, apart from once or twice hanging on start-up. Sounds like they have the same one, it's the 680M GTX and they got it from OCUK, they bought it just as it came out, and said it was about a year ago. Says the performance of the graphics is impressive. Many games can be maxed out. They had a MSI before that, but it wasn't that high end.
Hope that helps a bit.

How about the new hotness from MSI?

Shame my missus is still happy with her current HP as that's kinda sexy.

I'm a sucker for that sort of thing, but I assume you can't control individual key colours? I got sucked into buying a G19 on the belief you could do that. You can't, you can set all the keys to any one colour.
I won't be buying another laptop for a while. I think next generate of processor and gfx I'll be ready to upgrade again. What's changed is I've been ditching machines left right and center and the ones left cover all my needs pretty well. What's on the market currently does not step up in the right direction or sufficiently high to make me switch :/

Re: Where are all the new laptops?
Just seen the Sony Vaio multi-flip. Looks interesting in that it seems to be a normal laptop with the screen at whatever angle you want and then you can also flip it to use as a tablet. Always wonder how well the hinges will hold up over time with these sorts of designs. http://www.sony.co.uk/hub/new-vaio-fit

I'm currently waiting on the new MacBook retina pro's to come out. I despair at the state of the laptop market >_<
