From a company that sells/builds laptops? Introduce yourself

Postby carln » 19 May 2008, 21:27

OK, I have no idea if this thread will work or not but some people have suggested it before and if it works it might be worth stickying. There seems to be representation on this forum from a number of different laptop manufacturers/retailers which is excellent to see. I think it might be nice to have a thread where these people can introduce themselves and give a short blurb about what they can and cannot do for us via this message board. It's just an idea but hopefully it might kick off.

Two suggestions:
1. Please limit your comments to those regarding your own company.
2. Please don't copy and paste huge advertising style essays. Just provide a short description and then a link to your website for those who wish to find more detail.

Lets hope the guys post or this will be the quickest disappearing thread in history!

Mod edit: this thread is for posts from companies only so this can function as a reference, any other posts will be removed.
Guidelines for posting on behalf of a company can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=154

We are a 21 year old company that builds PCs and Laptops. We also sell components, peripherals, AV products and most things IT from our Portsmouth HQ. We have stores in Reading & Bristol with more coming this year. We pride ourselves on our customer service both pre and post sales and beilive that is one of the contributy factors to our sucsess.

What we can do for you - as with all the forums we join we will do our best to offer advice, support and deliver information on the emergence of technology as and when it happens.

What you can do for us - tell us what you like, tell us what do you do not like and request changes in product or proceedure as you see fit - the better we - the happier you will be.

Hope I can help

Thanks

Welcome Matt, John and Kriss! It seems we're a little novatech heavy in this thread! But fantastic to see you've found our forum, and felt compelled to join! We definately look forward to your comments in other threads!

:D I don't remember where i saw it, i used to have a vaguely similar panda-ish avatar on the Rock Forum and when i found this it seemed like a perfect progression.

Quickly uploaded it to Imageshack again, lost the old link.

Hi

Neil Richards - Technical Director at Kobalt http://www.kobaltcomputers.co.uk

Most of you know Andrew, I'm his better looking brother ;)

Have been working here for four years after we started the company together in 2004. Most of my time here has been spent developing our desktop and watercooled range (make sure you buy a copy of Custom PC mag next month :) ) however I have also been heavily involved in the development and testing of notebooks. I'm also consultant for DeMatteo Monness.

I am quite active on other forums so won't be spending a huge ammount of time here but will pop in now and again when Andrew's busy running the company.....

BTW I'm not a Chelski fan
