New Asus UX

Postby peted76 » 28 May 2009, 15:28

Hey all,

I've been a busy boy of late.. but when I saw this little beauty.. I just had to share.
Press release bumf about it http://uk.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=14707

Specs... include a 15.4" LED screen, new Intel CLV CPU and a slot drive.
It's fingerprint city, however it is execptionally good looking, everyone I've showed this to has said 'WOW' and I agree, it has the wow factor.

What do you think?

Has both, but a supposed 12 hour battery life, and between 800 and £1000

Thanks scar.

A little too pricey possibly but tasty battery life - wonder how much that would drop when compiling....

Oh, thought it was like my tokyoflash 1259! my bad! Nice looking laptop, tho i'm not sure on the current stylings of tapering the ends of the machine to make it look thinner..

The interior looks very similar ot the Studio 16 which I was trying to take pictures of in a light tent last night but it's so glossy that it reflects everything and it shows up finger prints. I do like the lack of border on the LCD admittedly as it makes it easier to clean and doesn't pick up dirt which is the same for the touchpad.

I really wish this stupid super glossy trend would stop...

Smudgey smudgey.

It is a beauty but you'd spend at least 10 minutes a day just getting the finger prints off! Everything is glossy in Star Trek - wonder how they avoid the finger prints. Must be smear resistant glass... I'll have to invent that.
