Personally I like them there, it does look a little bit cluttered but its much easier to see when threads have multiple pages.

I agree that doesnt look right...I am thinking what to do now..?!

maybe I can change the page numbers to be a simple number and take out that box... like it was on RF

Well going back to the post I made about it originally I would now say its the whole by line that makes it cluttered

This is the link that I was trying to suggest we copy, perhaps just getting rid of the whole by line? Or shortening it down?

can do but I'm trying something else

old phpbb had a column for author (like on RF) but pn phpbb3 they removed the column and added the author under thread title

Yeah, it's a tricky change to make it into a different column - personally I think it's a lot handier having the page numbers there even though at the moment it looks a little cluttered.

Edit - see you've made another change, that looks spot on to me

The one where you put the page numbers below the author, that seems to work well for that issue.

The text all black is a little tricky to read ;)

text colour is the easiest thing to be changed

I added that icon 'go to last post' after pagination or if multi pages dont exist then in the place of pagination
does this look right?

Personally I think it would look better without the logo, other than that I think its looking absoloutely fantastic now :D
