The google bot can seem to use up an alarming amount of bandwidth, seemingly several hundred times more than other bots. The solutions seems to be to reduce the frequency it visits as this doesn't affect the search engine ranking.

do we have some figures for unique visitors etc?

to properly track our ranking on google and where our traffic is coming from, it would be great to get google web analytics implemented on the forum. that's a project for another day tho i guess

Something else to look into and would be interesting, I would think most people are posting here from the UK. I'm off shift this week so planning on spending some time on the search engine/analysis side of the forum as it seems quite clear that's where we need to work on next now that Stefan has done a marvellous job of getting the forum theme working.

Do you want to keep that custom ranking or not??

LoL! Its hosted on my own website! So i daren't look at my own bandwidth!

Although its all pointless really! i can post 14 times on one page and it only charges 1 download to the bandwidth... that gives me 14 ideas.... ;)
