Depends on the Beer, if your talking your crappy John Smiths then maybe.

When its BrewDogs Paradox at 10%, Devine Rebel @ 13.8% or Tactical Nuclear Penguin @ 32% its a different story.

Local mead tends to be 15-20% depending on the batch.

If I'm out I only drink dark spirits, local piss water is £2.20 a pint Carling is near £4 a pint and going up 15p. Crazy prices.
