Surface Gaming

Postby Replicant » 10 May 2015, 11:50

OK so a few of us have a Surface Pro 2/3 here sooooooo....

Do any of you use it for gaming at all and if so what are you playing on it?
Any love for TF2 or similar?

So far I have restricted myself to playing DEFCON on mine although I have to play it windowed unless I play it on a connected monitor.

I always thought they would be lovely to play Civ on and maybe some of the old isometric RPGs like Planescape and Fallout, maybe some point and click adventures.

But maybe a little expensive for that sort of gaming alone.

I had a quick blast on TF2 yesterday and it was fine. Not sure what it would be like playing for an hour or so though.

What's the game they're playing on the Surface 3 (non-pro) ads?

App shoot 'em up game at around 19 secs in.

It's either Halo: Spartan Assault or its sequel Halo: Spartan Strike, I suspect the latter since it was released recently. I think they were available on WP as well, I have the first on Steam which I got for a couple of quid and it's not bad.

I bet that gets confusing... I bought Halo: Spartan Assault on the Surface and the phone - think it was a cross buy thingy. Yeah, it's a decent touchscreen game. Recently deleted it off my phone though because it was 2GB of space that I'd rather use for cosplay photos.

I have corrected my post...I find this fashion for not having sequel numbers extremely irritating.
