Whoa, 200cc Mario Kart is fast! Was crashing into the barriers like it was 1999!*

*Don't know why the Prince reference there.

200cc is really tough, feels like starting all over again but it does genuinely feel tough and just getting a smooth lap in is a huge achievement.

Think it's the first time I've had to properly use the brakes! Only tried a couple of races but looking forward to trying it out some more.

Used just the Wii U gamepad early today without turning the tv on. Quite liked using just the gamepad and can see it being useful if the tv is being used and for the apps too but it remains to be seen if I'll use it in that way or not.

How often are titles reduced on the nintendo store and are there any good ways of tracking them? I want to buy the Metroid Prime Collection which for some stupid reason I didn't buy when it was reduced on release, I don't mind too much paying £18 for it but not if it's likely to be reduced soon.

I wouldn't know I'm afraid. I do get sent emails from Nintendo but rarely open them to see what they say inside. If there is a deal then likely to appear on hotukdeals - no idea when though.

Sales on good games are usually few and far between. I don't expect there'd be a sale on that in the near future, but you never know...

Still, it's a lot of game for £18.

It looks like VC stuff rarely gets reduced after launch so will probably go for it at some point, I'm done with Recore now and moved onto other stuff so not feeling the same metroid urge.
