E3 2017

The One X is in an annoying place cost wise, for me it's slightly too much to be a no brainer but it's not so expensive that I can discount it completely until a price drop, also it's released when we are looking to be on holiday so not ideal. I'll probably end up preordering it just so I'm not rush...

Election - Who you voting for and why?

I am surprised how far left I have gone in the last 2 years, during the previous election I was much more centrist with a leaning more towards the Greens Capture.JPG Also did that I Side With quiz thing, 89% SNP, 84% Labour & 83% Lib Dem although a more concerning pair of out comes was 46% Conse...

Election - Who you voting for and why?

OK so some of my figures are off, the fact remains there are fewer police, firemen & soldiers, fewer hospital beds and more national debt despite having been in "Austerity" for 7 years. Look I don't give a dual what you spend your money on, but you chose to live in London so you can't ...

Election - Who you voting for and why?

So because every politician lies you'll willingly vote for a party who's manifesto will directly contribute to the deaths of the elderly, will gut the NHS further and are cutting funding for school dinners which some kids rely on as their only decent meal in the day, whose track record includes push...

What you playing at the minute?

Trying to play Civ 6 and failing miserably, something has changed that makes the way I play completely unviable but I have no idea what it is, I might need to bin it off until the expansion packs come out as its just frustrating me at the minute.

The connected home...

Yeah I've used the timer a few times, but I find Siri tends to be a little more practical as its normally on my wrist now. Out of everything the flash briefing and weather seem most useful , because there is never anything in my calendar, even if I used public transport local info isn't (I assume) a...

What Film have you just watched? 2016+

Finding Dory - Not great, too similar to Finding Nemo (one of the worst Pixar films) obvious jokes, poorly paced. Rogue One - Very disappointing, poorly paced, no character development or motivation the fact everyone trusts each other with little reason or convincing, the Tarkin/Leia CGI wasn't good...

Not sure if spoilers but I wonder what the rules are relating to the attacking of the house robots? Last year you had Apollo having a go at all of them and flipping them all but Killalot, but flippers don't really cause too much damage. I would have liked to see Carbide go up against some the ho...

I've got a couple of bits, the Hue Starter Kit and Sonos to the 3 main rooms of my house. I'm planning on getting more once I have worked out what I want to be able to do, and once the garden is sorted as that seems to be the priority at the minute. I have the Hue set up in 2 bedside lamps which set...

Nintendo Switch

I've not had that issue, but then I haven't really ran the battery low then switched to docked mode and then back out with out stopping playing. It will sit over night before being taken back out of the dock. The issue I have with it is the terrible connection of the left Joy-Con which makes the con...

BT Fibre/VDSL routers - what do you use?

I've been using a Fritz!Box that came from my ISP about 5 years ago which seems to work fine still. I am tempted to get some sort of mesh network setup as we struggle with WiFi strength anywhere but the living room. The BT Whole Home system is currently a third of down to £200 which is tempting, and...
