Re: opera 9.5

I used to have a problem with checking my emails on my o2 account using Opera. Could log onto my account but couldn't access the webmail page. Not sure if it had to do with the SSL not working/set up properly but it works in 9.5 now (just did a check). Anyhow, I now use Windows Live Mail for all my ...

Opal Fruits!

Woohoo! Only just heard this but Opal Fruits are back! Not seen it myself yet but yum yum, original name. Remember those rubbish adverts with the monkeys buzzing for starbursts? Well to mark 10 years of the change, they're erm, going back to the original name. Shame it's only available from Asda. So...

Re: free sat - HD freeview

As Matt says, if you phone Sky you can get them to give you the HD box for free (and pay a reduced installation) pretty easily - as long as you're not on some cheap ass package of course ;-) Soup but then i'd need an HD tv, and a ps3 to go with it, then upgrade my sound system... alas, just a pipe ...

Re: opera 9.5

Not sure how alt+D works, in Opera I just use F2 which brings up a box with the address bar and I can type in the address, use ctrl+enter or whatever. John Another new shortcut that could come in handy. Alt+D just seems to select and highlight the address bar in Opera. I use the mouse gestures a lo...

Re: free sat - HD freeview

you would need a sky hd box though to watch the hd channels wouldnt you? erm, hadn't thought of that. good point. take it the normal boxes aren't programmed to allow hd content, but is there anything in them to actaully prohibit it? They have no hd output (no component or hdmi) so they cannot outpu...

Re: opera 9.5

Ah ok, it's not that bad actually. just put the new default skin on again and it's ok. Just a lot darker than what I was used to. Makes the tabs look like the Vista taskbar now is all. Does 9.5 support ALT+D for the address bar yet? I tried to switch to opera a while back but not supporting that sho...

sheesh! who designed the new skin?? just installed the new 9.5 version and got slapped in the face by uber-black-silky-smooth-vista-esque tabs! :slap: hmmm, maybe some people out there like it but i downloaded the old 'classic' 9 skin to restore the order. too much change for me. might try it out ag...

Re: free sat - HD freeview

How much is getting just the sky box and no packages? i.e. just the free to air channels (including bbc, c4 HD. not itv HD as that's freesat only i think...) would be interesting to find out the whole list of channels you could get on both free sat and 'free' sky and see which is better. if either. ...

Re: Download Festival

Hmmm, Elliot Minor. Not the most rocking of bands out there. They play live with backing tracks... Nice guys though apparently. Never been to download. Would like to one day though. More of a Reading Fest man myself and going again this year. Like the mix of rock and indie, but hopefully there'll be...

Re: Pegasus 210

I am looking out for an m1330 killer in the event of my XCT having an untimely demise. What happened to Rock's Peg 340 that was mentioned in an advertisement feature in one of the pc mags a while back? Was this meant to be a m1330 killer or something similar? It still going to be made? I seem to re...

Re: RAID drive?

Thanks for your help guys. Think I will get a WD external when I can. Most probably a My Book as I'm not sure that I really need the RAID Studio Edition although it could come in handy... One last thing, on some of the bigger 1TB drives, some come as one drive and others as 2. Would the 2 drive opti...
