Re: Your first mobile phone

http://www.rickey.org/blog/images/motorola.jpg My wife had one of the Cellnet Sony mars bar phones they sold in Curry's, then a clunky Motorola, but I didn't get one of my own until we bought his and hers Motorola V8160s. It was just a simple green screen and I don't remember using SMS back then, b...

Re: Apple are successful with another injunction again Samsung

I think there is a difference between Apple's use of litigation and that of its competitors. Those chasing Apple are looking for their pinched technology to be licenced, gaining a slice of the dominant player's cake, as Nokia very successfully did last week. As the dominant player, Apple is seeking ...

The Google+ debate rages on! Friends v Acquaintances! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14202981" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Some of the comments (only read the editor's picks) seem to suggest people prefer the circles on google+ and being able to limit info to only those in cer...

Re: Google+

I am really liking what Google have done with photos on Google+, a huge improvement over Picasa's old front end. Also much liking that when I take a picture on my Android phone, a notification pops up automatically on Google+ asking if I would like to share it. Excellent.

Re: Google+

Thanks Replicant, I think it looks pretty good, impressed by the circles thing. Disappointed that it doesn't seem very integrated with Youtube and their other sites, but early days I guess. Not tried the phone app yet as still trying to recover my phone from a near-brick experience. Have got it back...

Re: M1330 Replacement

Been looking at shiny tech goodies this morning, I really liked the ultra-thin 13" Asus U36, but wish it had a higher res screen. Definitely on the wishlist though. Also, the Asus 10" slate thing with the keyboard/battery dock is awesome, but think I'll wait for a 3g version. If only Andro...

Re: Blackberry (9780) and/or sim suggestions

You might try checking out http://www.omio.com/ - they were recommended as a good comparison site in a PCPRO blog a while back. You just enter the phone you want and it lists the available deals from all the operators.

Re: Google Android

Is there anything particularly worthwhile upgrading to Gingerbread for at the moment? I know 2.2 had the speed increase thanks to the JIT addition and I know there's some small bits for Gingerbread but nothing that great from what I've seen? I think there's an official Gingerbread rom out for the T...

Re: Pentax announce the smallest mirrorless digital system

There is a very good article on bridge cameras in this months PCPRO including a group test and whatnot. For anyone looking for more than a compact but without all the grief of multiple lenses and lugging backpacks full of gear that we DSLR owners do, they seem a really good compromise.

Re: Google Android

I think that HTC have now said no 2.3 for we Desire owners, but over at XDA there is a forum dedicated to the desire with roms galore to play with including 2.3 I tried a couple of the 2.3 roms but I really don't like Android without Sense, I have gone back to AuraxTSense 8.1.1 and think I shall sti...

What a great concept! If only they'd thought of that instead of wasting all this money.

Re: What you playing at the minute?

Tomorrow, the download is huge and taking forever, I shall mostly be playing in an employees and guests (me) only beta of a game covered by a strict NDA, probably the biggest budget game ever, and I'm not allowed to tell you about it.

Oh well,

Just Excrutiatingly Dumb, Imagine! :)
