This years cycling challenge...

I cant believe that I have ridden 300 miles since I wrote that last post! Of course it helps that I now commute at least twice a week which is 45 miles there and back. I am looking forward to riding my first century ride in September.

Dear Blog V XV - the blog strikes back

59346 Dear blog, no-one comes here anymore! So i thought i'd let you know i'm still thinking of you! Oh, and its coming home... Dear tumbleweed, I am guessing Toddy is still out on his bike as it has been unending sunshine since his last blog post. I also see that Matt now has his hands full too!

This years cycling challenge...

Sorry Fodder I missed that it was you. Well I have been out on the road bike loads lately and have ridden about 700 miles on the CX since I bought it in May. I have even started commuting 2 days a week on it which is 45ish mile round trip. In fact I have not ridden the full suspension MTB since I ha...

What TV series have you watched?

I loved the Ghost Nation episode in Westworld. It was perhaps the stand out episode of the whole series. I too found Punisher to be punishingly slow and I struggled to get to the end. It is the same problem with Luke Cage and I gave up after 4 or 5 episodes. In fact I am not interested in watching a...

What TV series have you watched?

59336 Aside from Westworld I'm not really watching much on the moment and was randomly browsing Netflix and thinking I've not been watching much on there for a while, any recommendations for new series? John I am in exactly the same boat as you John. Not much around that is either original or appea...

What TV series have you watched?

59264 Started on Mr Robot, it's not bad. 4 Episodes in to series 1 and it seems to just be Fight Club for nerds? Which is fine just not what I expected Wow season 2 really shiv the bed. Struggling to make it through episodes right now. I struggled my way through series 2 and never even bothered wit...

What Film have you just watched? 2016+

I went to see Solo last Thursday and couldn’t make my mind up about it. The first 30 odd minutes felt rushed and lacked any kind of depth. I didn’t really care for the character and the actor chosen was a bit bland. As for the bad guy, all I could think of was the Chaucer character he played in A Kn...

59300 If your looking for some organised events, I'm going to give this organisation a try on one or two this year... hopefully. They seem a bit better for the south Downs 100 as well, giving you two options of 100km or miles and support. http://www.cxsportive.com/cx-century-the-south-downs-way/ Th...

Cycle chat

I carried this over from the 'What have you bought' thread. 59268 Not exactly today but two weeks ago I bought myself an Apple Watch3 as well as a Boardman CX Team bike. Loving both of these so far. It is strange being on a road (cx) bike as I have not owned one since I was 14. Pretty much every bik...

What Film have you just watched? 2016+

I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. So good to see a film with decent characters and story instead of yet another superhero film. You really got a feel for a hick town in nowheresville USA. It was a bit like watching a more cheery Coen brother...

Completed any games recently?

59266 Been working on my backlog/pile of shame from the last 2 years for the majority of this year. <SNIP> Still got at least 34 games to finish, that I own, a lot of which I've not even started and are long so I guess my completion rate will start to drop soon. Would most of these have been bought...

What TV series have you watched?

59246 Mindhunter - very good, worth a watch if you like crime / thriller. I really like the pacing as well, it never feels forced as it seems that they have much more of a free reign to develop the story with as much time as they need, rather than a fixed length format. I thought it was a great TV ...

What TV series have you watched?

I think Fargo 3 was a step down from series 2 which I thought was fantastic.

Watched the latest Star Trek episode last week and didn't realise it was the season finale. It feels more like a mid season pause.
