Re: Pegasus 665 Overheating

A lot of manufacturers actually use these thermal pads rather than applying thermal compound. I would recommend leaving the ones on for the ram and applying something like Arctic Cooling MX-3 / MX-4 onto the graphics core.

Re: Logitech G9x (and G330) Review

I have just got a G9x... i love it apart from the scroll wheel which is unnecessarily loud and scrolls too fast. Thankfully I also have a Razer Imperator which is perfect :D

Re: CoolIT ECO A.L.C. and Corsair H50 Comparison / Review

Unfortunately I don't have any air coolers to test against these - the only 'decent' air cooler I have is currently performing considerably worse than the intel stock cooler which baffles me an insane amount! I will hopefully running the tests again at the weekend with the same (decent) fan with eac...

Re: CoolIT ECO A.L.C. and Corsair H50 Comparison / Review

Not sure of the exact dimensions but the radiator is thinner than a standard 120mm fan and will stick out 1-2cm over the top and bottom. Will be adding some pics with it installed this weekend :)

CoolIT ECO A.L.C. and Corsair H50 Comparison / Review by Henry Butt The CoolIT Domino was a revolutionary product when it was released a few years ago, making liquid cooling available to the masses in an affordable and easy-to-install package. This was then overshadowed to some degree by the Corsai...

Re: HTC HD2 Review

Thanks for the review, was a good read :). My iPhone contract with O2 is just about to end and i'm in the market for a new phone. Think I'm gunna go for the Blackberry Bold 9700 though - pretty much any other touchscreen phone would dissapoint after the iphone.

Re: SteelSeries 7G Gaming Keyboard Review

I actually don't mind the look of the keyboard - sure the Logitech G110 I have is prettier but the 7G is far better built and much nicer to use.

The 7G does look a lot better without the palm rest in my oppinion... just makes it look like a standard (albeit old) keyboard

I would also recommend OCUK... they produce some cracking systems at decent prices and are also a reliable company.

Re: Out of warranty Rock CTX Pro with dead 7950GTX

You'll probably find that a new GPU for your machine will be very expensive... They were £300 + new. I would recommend buying a new laptop and ebaying your CTX as it should be worth around £100 with a dud GPU (around £300 fully working). Alternatively you could search ebay for a second hand GPU - th...

Re: mouses

I don't know whether its too late but I review mice for a living and have found SteelSeries mice to be the best, closely followed by razer and then the ROCCAT kone. I have the Ikari Laser but trust the newer Xai will be even better.

Re: i7 Self Build Advice

Well I have a CoolIT domino that I would use instead anyway (expect a review of this in the near future for the TP :)) so the large cooler wouldn't be an issue :)

Re: i7 Self Build Advice

Thanks very much for your suggestions Binnsy... I'll take a closer look at that i7 bundle now - looks like great value :). As for the GPU though.... the GTX 285s are free so I'm not going to go for that one (although if i was buying one I probably would !).
