Re: Dawn of War 2 gameplay footage at E3

Out of all those (Necron and Chaos are missing) Necrons might be tricky - probably better as CG... The WH40k versions of their fantasy counterparts are generally bigger, faster and have more fancy equipment which make live action all the more difficult. I dislike live action movies with a lot of CG...

Re: Dawn of War 2 gameplay footage at E3

In Lord of the Rings there's a lot more humans though, there's very few of interest in WH40K. While it is done well I still dislike the disjoin between the actual people and masses of CG, this style suits WH40K much better I dunno - I think Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Tau, Orcs, Eldar, etc. coul...

Re: Dawn of War 2 gameplay footage at E3

Definitely, I've watched the opening sequence to Dawn of War over and over again and still love it...it's a huge disappointment they haven't made a film given that DoW has been popular and there's a huge range of successful books. The Horus Heresy in particular would be ideal to produce a film from...

Re: Dawn of War 2 gameplay footage at E3

Aye, that would be something. Better still a live action movie (obviously laden with CGI) in the hands of Peter Jackson - too much to hope for though I think!

Re: Dawn of War 2 gameplay footage at E3

The opening cinematic sequences are great on the DoW series - certainly whets the appetite for the possibility of a full W40K movie.

Re: Attention Pegasus owners with Keyboard troubles

Are there any Pegasus 670 owners that live anywhere close to Rock? John Yep, I'm over in Redditch and Neil has actually invited me to their offices to demonstrate the problem. Unfortunately the impending arrival of a new baby makes this tricky at the moment, but I have offered to arrange a visit if...

Re: 3G modems and services

I had a HTC touch dual, and I currently have a Nokia E61, both of them "suspended" the data connection when a call came in, whether on GPRS or 3G :) Sounds like it's something I need to check then - although suspending the data connection would be OK i.e. as long as calls can be made/rece...

Re: 3G modems and services

Normally when you make/receive a call the data connection is closed I also thought that might be the case, but a colleague of mine did a test with his Motorola device, and could make/receive calls while he had a HSDPA connection open. I would imagine a GPRS connection would prohibit any voice calls...

Mac drivers are available from the bottom left hand corner of this page: http://www.three.co.uk/personal/products_services_/mobile_broadband_/detail.omp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm taking delivery of a HTC Touch Diamond soon (hopefully) and planning to use this as a modem for ...

Re: Mobile: the new HTC Touch Diamond

Fancy the touch, but with a keyboard? http://forum.techpond.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=278" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I've been keeping an eye on that one as well (along the with the Titanium/Touch Dual Pro) but I don't think I'd make sufficient use of the keyboard judging fr...

Re: Mobile: the new HTC Touch Diamond

Well I've just succombed and pre-ordered a Touch Diamond from Play @ £429.99 . I'm a big fan of stylus input, which has worked well on just about every Windows Mobile device I've owned apart from the heavy duty Symbol devices (due to the impact resistant screens).

Yeah, justification is difficult - but not impossible ;-) Go and the look at the pictures/videos again and tell yourself you *need* one!
