E3 2017

58643 Also a troubling factor in the current console wars is the e-pen0s score - a lot of discussions on the PS4/Xbox One are not about the games or anything it's all about the graphics capabilities and it's one of the reasons the PS4 has done much better than the Xbox One is for its slightly highe...

Microsoft announce their own tablet

55261 Even with discrete graphics, the Surface Book will still be lacking compared to a proper laptop when it comes to graphics. It's 'only' a 1GB, 800M series graphics card (yeah, great for a 'tablet') so although you can game (or whatever else one uses a GPU for!), you'll always be compromising t...

Techpond "Lego Minifigures" thread (we're not sad..)

Oh, wow! That's really cool. A friend picked up some of the Lego Batman minifigure blindpacks for me. they have some comical batmans in them. I have one in a tutu! I recently picked up Series 14 and 15 of the minifigures. I'll grab 16 later this month after payday - and assuming someone has them for...

Election - Who you voting for and why?

58604 What survey did you guys use for that graph? I fancy giving it a whirl! It was: https://voteforpolicies.org.uk/ Took a while to do if you selected all of the categories. Think I got a bit bored toward the end. A quote I like, no idea who said it, maybe Dave-from-down-the-pub is, "Most pe...

I found some pics on the phone but they have personal info on, so I'll try to remember to take more.

It's the non UCS ones that I have. Prefer those. More toys for playing with and going 'pewpew'...

Well, I'm gonna stick to my plans and read up on the local Lib Dem fella and see if he's a norm. If so, he's getting my vote. Need more Plaid Cymru people in my area of London...

Election - Who you voting for and why?

I just did a massively long one and I got this instead. LabCon.JPG <sigh> That was much more policy based, so, as discussed above, the Conservatives are going to do what they want despite what they've said, so I guess it's the same result. Worryingly, UKIP are 25.5% and Labour 21.9% for my constitue...

This is your person in parliament, so I'm an advocate of voting for the person who most closely represents your views since they will hopefully debate and vote on matters that aren't even considered yet in the way you would like. However, I live in a Labour area where the second biggest party has be...

What you playing at the minute?

58559 Playing a decent amount of Street Fighter 2 on the Switch. Ken is my boy, and doing quite well, about 50% win percentage in ranked matches. Though getting some rough lag in some matches which obviously kills the game a bit. Forgot how much I love the game. Reminds me of Bloodborne/ Dark Souls...

What Film have you just watched? 2016+

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on the weekend. As good as the first imo. Some very, very funny parts. Also, very much a stand alone movie - few references to the MCU.

And, finally, they have arrived. Pesky Hermes kept trying to deliver to a central London business address at 7pm after reception had closed.

Microsoft announce their own tablet

Weirdly, as a child, I was annoyed that T came after R and S, I thought it diminished its power, whereas T is clearly better than R and S. And the LMNOPQ part of the alphabet is like the interval act before the second half and thus T should be at the top of recommencement of the alphabet-show. (Actu...
